Enjoying an afternoon aperitivo is a favourite pastime in Europe; Australians are also partial to this easy to make, easy to sip cocktail, especially as Spring rolls into Summer, and the afternoon sun warms our backs and the afternoons feel wonderfully endless. It is time to sip on an aperitivo before dinner.
Our Blood Orange Aperitivo sits half way between an amaro and a liqueur, with heady blood oranges, a mild bitterness on the palate to balance the soft sweet finish. It is full of flavour from the maceration of blood orange rind and layering of light spice to ready you for your evening ahead!
Aperitivo means ‘to open’ in Italian. Our Blood Orange Aperitivo is the perfect ‘opener’ to an evening of aroma and flavour! Buon aperitivo!
Tasting Notes:
From the glass floats sticky blood orange curd, pink peppercorn spice and cinnamon. On the palate, it’s like a light negroni - full bodied blood orange interwoven with a deep richness of red blood plums, rosemary and light pine notes. A soft toffee like finish invites another sip!

Serve up in a spritz with soda and a slice of fresh blood orange.
2 - Neat or over ice
Pour 50mL neat or over ice for a late night treat.
